The Ten Commandments Display in Julia Davis Park The Keep The Commandments Coalition is a citizens group backing an initiative to put a new Ten Commandments monument in Julia Davis Park. The one that stood there since 1965 was moved out of the park earlier this year by a vote of the city council.

Thanks for Helping Us Make History!

Thank you for helping us make history in Boise with the nation’s first vote on the public display of the Ten Commandments!

Although we fell a little short, communities all across the nation have been inspired by our example and plan similar initiatives in the near future.

It was difficult for our campaign to overcome the misinformation put out by the Mayor and City Council for two years. We believe voters were misled by three myths.

1. There would be major lawsuits against the City if the Ten Commandments were returned.
2. The City would be obligated to put up a hate monument by Fred Phelps.
3. The original monument would be moved from St. Michael’s Cathedral.

We also believe that if the election had been held two years ago, when it should have been, we would have had a different outcome. Justice Delayed is Justice Denied - Martin Luther King, Jr.

WE ARE STILL A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH! We got nearly 50% of the vote. 30,000 people voted YES! for the Ten Commandments. Within the City of Boise there was a massive voter turn out against Republicans. All twelve district seats in Boise are now held by Democrats. Eleven of those are pro-abortion Democrats.

We have a large constituency in Boise, so we will continue to stand for what we believe in. I will personally continue to fight for the protection of religious freedom. I will also continue to mobilize this emerging generation to engage in political and social activism.

Let us continue with grace, dignity and poise as we advocate for the universal truth found in the 10 Commandments.

Thank you again for all you did to support this historic campaign.
